Some people (who clearly consider themselves "eagles") like to say disparagingly of others, "Pigeons can't fly with the eagles." That may be true, but it's also true that pigeons are seldom sucked into jet exhausts <g>.

That one was told to me by a former boss who definitely believed in being a pigeon in the workplace -- offend no one, take no risks, keep your head down. I'm sure he's still there.
