One year when I was in college the fraternity house I lived in was contacted by a student who was due to arrive from Sweden. He wanted to know if we had a room available and we responded yes, we do, and reserved it for him. The only problem was he never showed up. He became known, probably inevitably, as Sven. (I have no idea what his real name was). It became a running joke. When the doorbell rang someone would say, "It's Sven! His ship has come in!" LOL. We may have been goofballs but we had a lot of fun.
