>>>Regardless of the GOP/political side of this, isn't the view blocked in almost any large truck, anyone hauling something large in a trailer or RVs? Seems like they are out to hassle him.

>>That's why trucks etc. have special mirrors. I think the kid is a fool to block his rear view and think it makes sense. Political issues aside, if you can't see out the back of your car, you are a hazard.

>Oh, and I agree with that, but somebody hauling furniture in the bed of his pickup is the same thing. Those special mirrors on larger trucks still don't allow line of sight directly behind. The side mirrors on my car give about the same view as the special mirrors on the trucks. Gunracks block the rear view. Plus, he got four tickets in a week. You don't think they are looking for him at this point?

Don't forget the part about his being abusive to the officer each and every time (I assume including the first time). Maybe they are laying for him, but still, all he had to do after the first time would have been to obey the law. After all, you can get painted decals that are see-through and don't obstruct your view. Sounds to me like the guy is gunning to be ticketed.
