If you are going to retire in 5 years you might want to get started on the Hackers Guide to .net then... :o)

In five years, I just might know enough about the quirks in .NET to write one < s >. But it would really have to be a few books - one for webforms, one for winforms (or WPF or whatever the next big thing is), one for ado.net - at least.

John is right - it would be a set of encyclopedias.
