>John, sorry to confuse you ! It's better to explain more in detail. Previously in Foxpro2.6, I write prg files. In vfp, I build the exe file from project file created by project manager. All I have done is puting data files into the data environment. Then I build forms using form-designer and add them to the project. There is only one prg file which is the start program which run the forms with READ EVENTS in it. My problem is the location of dbf in the data environment and bmp/icon files in some class properties. So, the entire programming is split into bits in the EVENTS in the classes inside the project. After the exe is generated, the location of dbf/bmp/icon files are hard-coded. But, when I distributed to other users, the Cd-rom drive and harddrive names may be different from mine. How to handle the situation ? I really waiting for help !

As I understand it everything is included in the project except the data files. As I have found out you just have to point to them with SET PATH and you should be ok.

John
