>>Jolt contains 100.0 mg caffeine per 12 oz can, while Mountain Dew, its most well known competitor in the Energy Pop category, contains only 55.0. Coca-Cola, it's most famous cola competitor, contains only 45.6 mg per 12 oz can. To add to its high energy level, Jolt is also high in sugar.

>Generally speaking, a soda such as coke or pepsi has one tenth the caffeine of a cup of coffee. So, jolt had one fifth as much as coffee. At that level it has little or no effect on a human being. However, you must never forget that the effervescence in a soda is supplied by the evil CO2!! So, drink a cola - f*rt the CO2 - Destroy the planet. I don't know about you but I'm going to do my part. So, it's Canadian whiskey straight up for me from here on as it is clearly the right thing to do.

I think that your numbers are a bit high. I see the caffeine content of regular coffee stated at between 40-120 mg. I remember seeing a chart comparing different coffee houses. Starbucks was the most consistent. Its decaf coffee was 6 mg per cup. Decaf at some coffee houses has more caffeine than regular coffee from the same establishment!
