Oh yes, quite useful ... we've been using them ever since the 1.0 and 1.1 days (going way back to 2002). Our apps are quite large. Problem is, I'm sure, not many people *are* using it, hence the reason this bug was never discovered. It's kind of my fault, in a way ... I certainly should have been looking at the beta long before it finally went to RTM. But I've been too busy. Oh well ...

And, actually, now that I've found the reason (possibly) and the workaround, it turns out that it's not much of a workaround. The minute you forget to collapse all of your folders and close the solution without doing it, you're back to having them all out of whack again the next time you open your solution. Not good.
