>It should be. The "let's throw some stool at the French" is a symptom of "let's forget about manners and long time allies and just spit into the face of anyone who doesn't agree with our politics of the day and even better, let's start a spitting contest". That's he cowboy politics, that's the "let's screw Geneva convention", that's "red for positive, black for negative" (or oposite), that's the "we don't care about anyone's knowing sovereignty, it's our oil at stake", "these guys don't want to play ball with us, they think they're smarter, let's call them wussies" and the other rites of cowboy barrooms. Which I find extremely uncivilized and actually quite high on the list of reasons why the US has become so unpopular.

>See, this is where you put yourself by iterating the above two anti-French remarks. I may have a few bad things to say about the French, but in exactly opposite vein, if you can believe that. I don't have any intent to defend a third country here - specially from such lowbrow attacks - it's more a matter of taste.
I don't know - and you'll say this is the problem - but that really doesn't bother me much. It's a joke and I will never think of it as anything but that. You think the issue is mine, but I think in this instance it's yours.
