Which I find extremely uncivilized and actually quite high on the list of reasons why the US has become so unpopular.

I don't know - and you'll say this is the problem - but that really doesn't bother me much. It's a joke and I will never think of it as anything but that. You think the issue is mine, but I think in this instance it's yours.
