Bonnie, thank you, sincerely, thank you. But I can't do this to you, it's over 3,000 lines of code.

These are dynamic windows that do not know the fields, they load the tables, structures, data, et al as it loads based on properties on each control.

This is why I did not want to use Binding in the first place, it's complicated, it's a black-box -- no one can explain what goes on inside, and if there's a problem, like I have, you can lose your shirt (I've spent now over 8 or 9 hours on this one (and I have a darn cold!)).

I suspect I am mis-understanding the sequence of binding affects, it's understandable given the documentation does not exist !?! F!U-Microsoft (so glad you discontinued Foxpro!=NOT HERE) and the books cover it lightly (except for MacDonald's book, which goes into great detail and is a very helpful book). (Please excuse my anger towards Microsoft. I'm sure most of those 8,000 Indian programmers are very nice people, even if they exist on $40/day.)

Seems like all the books want binding to navigate through data, I just want to use it to connect rows to controls. So here is where I am losing it, there's something it's doing that I don't understand. And since I didn't write it, I can't really get in there so it's guess work.

Again, Bonnie, thank you for helping. When I find out, even if it's my stupid mistake (which it probably is), I'll put my findings here so perhaps it'll help someone else.

Hopefully I'll find it tonight, tomorrow I'm out doing my other "work."
