I thought so at first. But I have come to realize I have also gained some other advantages.
1. I have a re-sizeable form including controls. Due to the use of sizers.
2. I can add properties/attributes to a control.
3. I can define my own events and have a finer control on any event than I did with VFP.
4. I have a universal way to access MySQL, Postgres, MsSQL, FireBird (Oracle can be used if required)
5. And the most import I run my code on Windows, Linux, and Mac without changing anything.
I still add code to methods like lostfocus, gotfocus, etc... Just you do for VFP. Dabo patterned it self after VFP.
