Thanks for the offer, John, but I found the problem...I just hadn't been looking in the right place. One of the tables in my test environment didn't contain a field that was added to the top modal form, where it was bound. The poor form was confused when it couldn't find the field, and decided to lock up on me :) Ah, Monday morning...
