I don't remember if location of runtime was documented when VFP7 came out. My guess would be that it wasn't documented or documented in some obscure place.

We went from VFP 6.0 to VFP 9.0 and I don't recall seeing a mention of it (the folder containing the language resource DLLs) in the "what's new" document (I presume it was mentioned in that doc for VFP 7.0). As I stated before, it had always bugged me that the VFP 6.0 docs would mention how you can use the language resource DLLs but never made a mention of how you were supposed to get them (and thus using the workaround by manual extraction from different language editions of the service packs).
