I have seen one system where a two-letter prefix was used, to indicate the table name.
I think I have also seen recommendations, to have the first letter indicate the type, like dBirthday, nAge, etc.
But personally, I don't use any of this; I just try to give the fields meaningful names.
The first field is always the same as the table, and is named the same as the table (or sometimes an abbreviated version).
If a field represents a foreign key, I usually try to give it the same name as the primary key field in the other table. Note that this is not always possible: sometimes a table may have two or more foreign keys to the same table.
