XmlReadMode is helpful. If I specify InferSchema value, the ReadXml does not bomb. It still completely ignored the "default" values specified in the XSD schema. Logic would say that if you specify .ReadSchema it would work, but it doesn't.

>The ReadXml method has an overload where you specify the XmlReadMode (or something like that), try to use that overload with the different enum values. (I don't know if this will work but it should be relatively easy to test)
