Is there anything in the contents that makes the e-mail suspicious of being spam or scam?

I don't want to speculate.

All I will say is that I received an email asking about a UT member. I do not recognize the sender's name, and was curious if anyone had heard the names Richard M. or Thomas Magnum. The sender stated that he lived in Vancouver.

I don't divulge any of the email contents - I'd just like to verify that the person is indeed a UT member.
