Well, there are several possible explanations for that, e.g. a careless scammer; a person actually called Richard Thomas or Thomas Richard; or somebody writing from somebody else's e-mail account.

Well, again, I hope it's legitimate.

The author of the email knows a few things about myself and the UT member whom he inquired about.
