>If tables share a field, then name it the same. Many years ago, I supported a system written in Fox by a COBOL programmer and shared fields had a "This is the table it comes from" prefix. So much for scatter/gather.
Working with tablenames added to the fields creates more code and is a royal pain - I have to interface to such a system. On the Key fields, I have worked in a place where the rule was "ID"+table and one that used "pk"+table and "fk"+table to further identify key type and I think ID is enough.
