Yes, some tried, but that never seemed to go anywhere useful. At least that's my recollection. It is unfortunate though, because as I said, when I was starting out with vfp, John was extremely helpful (directly and periferally). It was just the last year or so before his banishment that I recall things devolving they way they did.
