I'm using VS2005 and 2008 for ASP.NET development on my Dell 9400 Vista Ultimate laptop which has a dual core CPU, 2GIG RAM, 80GIG HD, and 4GIG ReadyBoost memory. I have the built-in 17inch 1900x1200 and a 22in 1900x1600 screen. It works pretty well, but I certainly wouldn't balk at more RAM. The laptop only supports 2GIG though.
