Glad to hear you're doing well, though hopefully you admit that it's more difficult to command a decent rate in VFP than it used to be.

Over the last two years, I've seen rates for VFP work in New York, New Jersey, and PA that are almost sad.

On VFP being "unrivaled when it comes to creating desktop database applications", me-thinks those Sweet Potatoes might have a little Vitamin THC in them....but hey, in the end, if you're providing solutions your clients are happy with, what does it really matter.

As for what I'm working on - I'm heavily in the SQL/BI space right now. I'm a contract trainer for a Gold Partner and am teaching/developing courseware for SSIS/SSAS/SSRS/MDX, as well as PerformancePoint Server. Generally I train for 3 straight weeks and then have an off-week.

So like you, I'm grateful for the good life and the ability to ride my wife and kiss my car good-bye (whoops! I meant kiss my wife and ride my car...I get the two confused)
