>>Change of subject. (You're welcome). As the fervent fan of Hillary Clinton that you are <g>, you must be enjoying the Democratic primaries. Or maybe not. You probably wanted her to be the nominee, right? THEN take her out. I'm sure many Republican strategists were hoping for exactly that. What they didn't count on was Obama being strong enough to do it first. Stick a fork in her, she's done. To me the only question left (on the Democratic side) is how far the Clintons will go in their desperation and how willing they are to inflict collateral damage on their own party.

>The Feb results only mirrored what was to be expected after big tuesday - perhaps the lead is a bit stronger than expected since they divide dem del's, but on TX date Obama can enlarge the lead (possible), knocking her out with another big gain - (doubtful), she can take the lead (very doubtful) or because of splitting) or she can shorten his lead - straining both pockets, which might interest some cynics. If she shortens his lead to below 10% of pledged del's, she has a slightly less than even chance, perhaps 40%. Propbably the telling vote will be how strong his lead in the smaller states will be.

Here I disagree with you. I don't think anyone anticipated that Obama would break away as cleanly as he has since Super Duper Whopper Tuesday. It isn't just that he has won 10 primaries in a row, it's the margins he has won by. Several of them have been by 20 points ore more. In Wisconsin yesterday, a race that was supposed to go down to the wire and was being called both ways by polls over the weekend, he won by 18 points. That was a state Hillary should have done well in if she had any steam left -- 90% white, lots of blue collar workers, lots of elderly voters, all thought to be her strengths. If she can't come any closer than 18 points there I really think she's a dead duck. Obama sure would be if the roles were reversed.
