Well, as I understand it, that's the whole point of "Windows standards." That a command button (for example) has a similar look and feel across all applications. And so the USER has control over how their environment looks.

Just because I think fuscia and turqoise are terrific together, doesn't mean everyone shares my taste *bg*.
