I don't have the exact email from Michel anymore, but the general statement was that five sensitive messages were more than enough to ban.

These messages are mild at best - I've seen far far worse from people who are still here.

In the same few days, Tore B. made an analogy between John's behavior and Adolf Hitler - far more offensive. To this day, I find John's banning in 9/2004 to be without valid defense.

Just prior to banning John, Michel banned William Sanders. It's my opinion that one of the reasons Michel banned John was to "even things up", for lack of a better phrase.
