Hilmar, read more carefully here. What I was saying is: If Americans don't mind that their audiences are manipulated ... etc.

On purpose I didn't write there 'If some Americans...'. If most Americans would mind that audiences are manipulated, then there would've been opposition and it would not happen. That's why I think I can say here that (most) Americans don't mind that audiences are manipulated that much.
