This message has been marked as the solution to the initial question of the thread.
>I have MyButtonContainer.ButtonExit and want to create a new class of just ButtonExit. Visually, or at least so it is visible in my class library.

In the class designer for MyButtonContainer, select the ButtonExit object and do Ctrl-C (copy). Now open a new form and paste the ButtonExit on it. Select it, and then you can now do Save as Class from the File menu for the selected control and put it in any VCX you like.
