and avoid banning :o) Actually, I think what is missing in most online discussions is sufficient silliness. The tone of voice and giggling or smirks or smiles that exist when discussing things in person is gone online. Much seems to cause offense where none was probably intended. Also, the quick back and forth of comments to clarify things as discussions progress is missing online.
