>>(and for anyone out there who may ask for my opinion about those quizzes - I don't give a condemned-by-a-religion for trivia quizzes; give me Kviskoteka again at any time, that's where we were appreciated as keepers of the flame, not as poor fools who are expected to sweat, be nervous and applaud to themselves onscreen... and be it known that I was probably the only person ever in the history of Yugoslav television to roll a cigarette in the studio and be shown as such on the federal level ;)

#define win :)

I've been to Kviskoteka in December 1984, ended up third - if you remember Jasenka, who became sort of a star of the season, she won that day. There were a few technical issues (didn't sleep too well on the train - upper bunk, was hitting my head on the mechanism; was drinking with my pals until lunch, plus one small drink during the break; it was too hot in the studio; my button was too hard; the software which displayed the letters for the hangman-like game displayed commas as characters etc) which contributed to me having the lead at first and then ending third, but, frankly, I didn't mind. I just had three trips to Zagreb paid by TVZg, visited my friends there, had a few evenings and had my claim to fame locally for a couple of years. I even won some money, about a couple of days pay or so.

BTW, Oliver Mlakar is every bit the pro you may have imagined he should be. I caught him standing on the side practicing to pronounce Vučićević :). And once on scene, he did get it right.
