Amen. But the painful episodes like the SS StLouis, the SS Navemar, and the SS Struma remind us of how much more could have been done. For me the lesson there is that people who do not encourage evil should still never find evil so unimaginable that they cannot recognize it or think it can be combatted by denying it.
