>There are some ads I enjoy, and some which are informative (shrug).

Me too - I allow the sound when there's a new Pc vs Mac ad :). Accent being on new. I'm not watching reruns. I may - my rate is flexible.

>Haven't you ever seen or heard an ad for something you were not aware of and found yourself interested in? Maybe even bought? Without the ad you might never have heard of it.

On the odd chance that one in ten thousand ads worked on me, I should watch them all? I'm OK with announcements of new products, events, even movies (but if they'd just knowing slow the trailers to about one cut per second or less, and put any other voice than that guy in the barrel and actually honestly represent the movie). But having them shown over and over again... no.

>If you want to get back at those evil advertisers, though, here is a small way you can do so. Those reply cards you shake out of magazines? -- put them in the mail blank. The advertiser has to pay the postage and gets nothing of value.

Better - take the stuff from one and send to the other. But then they'd know that someone was actually paying attention. That's like emailing a spammer to stop.
