>Mormon missionaries are told to not be pushy. If told, "no thanks", they are to politely move on to the next house.

The few times they've come to my house, that is exactly what has happened.
As for other denominations...........as soon as the "But" starts the door gets firmly closed.
>>I am never rude to them, although I'm not buying what they're selling. That can't be easy going door to door. Many people really do slam the door in their face. A polite "no thank you" doesn't cost me anything. It doesn't bother me much if they ask, as long as they don't get pushy about it. Same approach with telemarketers. That's another job I wouldn't want so I have a certain amount of sympathy for those doing it.
