That is exactly what occurred in Western Colorado over the past 15 years. Western Colorado now has property values that are absolutely outrageous and the idea of owning land for anyone not already in that position is nothing but an unattainable dream. I really wish I had bought land back when I was living there and it was affordable. What's worse, there are quite a few actors living there and that drives the prices up even more.
