I just wanted to check ReadOnly and Enabled properties of the Cancel button after you clicked on the Edit button. You can add this code in Click method, doesn't matter.
>>>There is nothing in the VALID method/event of the previous control, which is the EDIT cutton.
>>>
>>In the Edit button LostFocus event put
>
>>messagebox(thisform.Cancel.ReadOnly)
>>messagebox(thisform.Cancel.Enabled)
>
>>and then click on the Cancel button.

If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
