Dynasties. Show some respect for the meaning of words and use the ones that best describe the matter.

A family "competing in politics" is just a family until such time when there's always a few of them in politics in every generation of the family. Then the politics as family business grows into a dynastic legacy. That's the Marxist "quality arising from quantity". You can never know when did one turn into another, and the best you can do is to take the moment just before it actually happened - that's when all of it was ready for fruition.
