Hi Dmitry,

some applications, like most of mine, when you hit the exit button, or the 'X' at top of screen, will go through a shutdown procedure, where it closes all open tables, view, indexes and forms. So there are no danging references or anything, before closing the application.

this maybe redundant, but that is the way we clean up our applications.

Does that make sense, now?

Beth

>>>Last night I was working with one of my VFP 9 projects. I was not doing any changes just looking at something. Then, sometimes later, when I opened my VFP 9, I noticed that all of the projects were gone. Typically when I open VFP 9 I see almost all of my project windows (about a dozen of them). So now I am going to each home directory of each project and issuing command MODIFY PROJ ? and opening projects.

>>>But I was wondering, what did I do to cause the projects disappear? Is there one file that had all these projects? If I restore this file from a back up, will I see all my projects again?
