I know there are things in the .NET framework classes that are extremely handy and would require lots of work in VFP to duplicate (unless using eTechnologia .NET capability), but in the vast majority of windows programming tasks, VFP has the capability built in and reliable.

Not trying to turn this into a "my dad can beat up your dad" but i can turn out a desktop to sql server app with DotNet just as quick as I can a vfp to sql server app. I really think the "DotNet takes 2,3,4,5,6,7 (insert integer here) times longer to develop in" is a myth.

I readily admit that I don't like ADO.Net or datasets, more of an object guy. LINQ and WPF are incredible additions and for me personally fleshed out the weak spots in the DotNet framework.
