He may have chosen better words or phrasing, but if we have to send our messages to some comitee everytime we want to say something because some of the members may get upset, then better close the forum.

I use VFP now and I didn't feel being insulted by reading his reply. Did I miss something?

I would move to C# tomorrow given the chance. I really like some feature of the language and it's definitly far more in demand in the market than VFP. My goal is to keep being employed and I will fail that goal in the future if I refuse to learn anything else.

>Another "Oprah says" type thread. I realize I'm speaking for somebody else but.....It wasn't "what" he said but "how" he said it that set Jim off. His comments were not directed at the validity of the assertion, just the manner of presentation. He essentially said that anybody with equal VFP and C# skills who chooses VFP is an idiot.

>So I'll pose the question........How many of the developers who migrated from VFP to .NET did so because of the overwhelming technical advantage? How many did so because the market for VFP development has dried up so drastically and this was the logical carear progression?
