It is definitely an opinion many will not like, but it is his opinion and appropriate given the original message. Is that a fair characterization? Nobody *ever* seems to object when the same sorts of opinion were expressed several times in a less antagonistic fashion.
IMHO if you look at posts where people object it's almost always to the tone/insults, not to the underlying message which in most cases is very familiar.
Sorry if I'm seeming to repeat myself, but there seems to be a trend in which obnoxious posts are subsequently portrayed as "VFPers ganging up because they don't like the message" which is rarely the truth.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
