Derek, no offense taken, I am fairly thick skinned. I make responses here with usually very limited insight into the situation of others. It is the realm of broad generalization.

That being said 9 times out of 10 when I am recommending any new technology to summon it is certainly for NEW development. I adhere strongly to the principle of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". If anyone has a substantial investment in an existing architecture and code base then milk it for every dime you can.

I hate that you feel like your in the the unenviable position of not being able keep up. I have been a bit more fortunate, lucklily.
