Yeah, I use Rick's wwFTP class to handle this and I have a couple of branches at one of my clients' where it's intermittent. This is for uploading a file to an FTP site, not the updating of the app (though I use FTP for that, too). Presently, I've instructed them to "try again later." Often, this works. Seems not to be a problem with the FTP site. I can always connect with WS_FTP Pro and Windows Explorer, even when my app can't. Yet just the other day one branch called and couldn't get the file to upload. My computer was down and I told them to wait awhile, try again, and call me if it did not work. They called me later saying it still did not work, but just as I was about to dive into it, the woman said "oh, there it went." Go figure - just decided to work whereas before it wouldn't.
