I purchased a HP referb from buy.com and I have tried to install xp but could not find all the drivers so I reinstalled vista with the same results. I think I will try installing Linux and see what happens.

>You have serious issues either with bad hardware, drivers, or a completely hosed Vista install. I'd verify you have current BIOS and hardware drivers from the manufacturer. If so, I'd seriously consider a reformat/reinstall to try to get a solid system.
