>Agreed but that goes against the myth of DotNet taking much longer to develop in than VFP which is defended with a near religious zeal.

What's funny is that if we check back in here in 3 years, the same voices will be chanting the same mantra. I equated it with "ostrich head in the sand" once before and was nearly crucified by the zealots here. I am beginning to think that it is fear of unknown and fear of change that drives these voices. They are comfortable (which is okay), but don't make excuses about the tool, the lack of support, etc. Just say I'm cofortable in my little niche and I don't see any need to change. This applies to the over 40 crowd. The youngers ones are going to be in a world of doo-doo soon if they don't.

I do a lot of speaking and presenting on the tour around a 5 or 6 state area here and I ask in each session, "How many ex-VFP programmers are here". I usually get a couple of hands, when I ask why they didn't stick with VFP, they usually say, "no job opprotunities, no chance to advance, no salary increase, etc.".
