I am not bashing .Net or VFP. We like working in VFP and if MS wasn't dumping it and our clients didn't mandate it we would stay in VFP longer. We have stretched it to its limit on a few things but it works well for what we want it to do.
We just see the future and it is limited for VFP overall. I have about 12-16 more years to work and I do not see VFP getting me there if I remain a developer.
I started as a C/assembler programmer in the 80's and resisted learning fox. I feel the same about .Net but the more I use it the better I think it is.
The main thing as one guy posted if salary and opportunity if something did happen and I need to move on I'' find a C# job long before I do a fox job and probablz for the same or more money.
