Looking at the "which is more readable to you?" thread, I realized that for as long as I cared to read it (it got too long too fast and nobody trims their quotes - and I've already thrown away two otherwice nice mice because of the wheel)(misspelling rhyming on purpose - cute, eh? ;)... that everybody seems to be using the default Courier font.

Which I hate. Courier, I mean. Looks like a failed attempt to imitate a typewriter, then a failed attempt to imitate a laser printer imitating a typewriter.

So my first order of business when I rebuild my machine is to install Fox, then to set my editing font to Tahoma, Verdana or Trebuchet, 10, sometimes bold (nice if I'm going for size 9, but unnecessary for 10). Having to set it about everywhere is a pain in the donkey, but it's worth it and it's only once. I think I have the registry bit saved somewhere, just in case ;).

I also have my own set of colors for code: comments are black on cyan, strings are black on yellow, variables are purple and keywords are blue, numbers are green, operators red, violets are violet (what did you expect, the oranges to be green?).

Now does anyone else change any of these settings, or am I about the only spoiled brat out here who thinks that programmers are allowed to use fonts?
