it's not too tricky.
You need an extra column to store the state of selection for each record, a interface that do the changes (I use CTRL|SHIFT+Click, CTRL[Space|A|I]), Shift+Space more or less like the clicks and keys in Windows Explorer, and some sort of display (DynamicBackcolor).
After a while you will need an event that receives changes so that you may could switch some objects.
