I format it somewhat... but generally try not to. I'm forcing myself to spell every new variable in camelcase, then type it lowercase for the rest of the time. Then if Beautify doesn't convert it to camel, I've misspelled. The beautified code is also a visual closing check (although I use all of those xxxend macros) so if I've butchered some code and am not quite sure whether I got every EndXXX in the right place, I only have to look whether the end of a procedure is not indented exactly one or two tabs (depending on my Beautify settings for the project). To me, it's a great visual clue, sometimes works better than compiling and going for the error line (which doesn't help much with my most frequent error, endif instead of endfor).

Which is why I retrained myself as the key sequence changed from VFP7 to VFP9: in any of them, I know how to run Beautify in a second, without thinking. I do it as a reflex, probably after every dozen lines or so.
