Thanks, that confirms what I finally figured out. The confusing part is that the property is not listed in the VFP property sheet, so I didn't think to try this before.

Are you having any success with drag&drop within the Treeview control? I am trying to provide a way to rearrange items and am finding that most things work except that the target item is about two items below from the mouse cursor, even when I try to factor a two-line adjustment into the hittest calculations.

Most frustrating for the user to see the mouse in one place and the highlighted item trailing behind: which does he believe?

If you know the answer to this problem I'll be doubly in your debt.
