If it helps, I plan to wrap the APPs into an installer, similar to the merge module we have now.

By "not really free" do you mean to charge for the code change? VFPx is a volunteer effort by the community, so I would not be able to offer more than a big "thank you", recognition for your contribution and free access to over 20 VFP projects and countless other code fixes on VFPx.
