>>Cathy and others reported couple of bugs with reporting that came with SP2.
>>This thread is meant to provide opinions and clarifications about usability of SP2 reporting features, since these bugs (and some others) seem to effectively stop SP2 from being accepted by people.
>
>As far as I know. 1 new bug was added to the core (the report grouping issue) and 1 behavior change in the core affects reports previewed in top level forms (see my blog for more details)
>
>It may be possible to provide an XSource workaraound in the Reporting APPs until the core is fixed, but I haven't researched that enough to confirm.
>
>All the other reporting bugs (as far as I know, I'm still researching) are older issues that are NOT new to SP2. However, watch my blog. I will address all the ones I know about and give you as detailed information as I can.
>
>>To me personally, major issue is to clarify that SP2 did not introduce any new bug at reporting engine level.
>
>Agreed, but right now we are at 1 new bug in the core engine.

Huh, that is bad news then :(

Then for the time been best bet is exactly that ; see how to safely merge functionalities from SP2 and SP1 and run it under SP1 for the time been.
Will look into this white papper.

>Of course I am challenging ALL VFP developers to get SP2 installed and see if they can find any more. Rick Schummer has posted a white paper about how to get SP1 and SP2 working on the same machine so you can try it out.

You and the other VFPX guys are working on this and meny other important things for VFP community.

Without intention to be provocative, I believe that VFP community should get much more involvement or at least show some interest in making things better. Not only install SP2 on their test machines and give some feedback about problems, but also get more involved in VFPX/Sedna project in general.

We have meny VFP 'diehards' that are very vocal here but completely absent from VFPX/Sedna projects which are practically only future left to VFP.
It is time for us who still want to stay in VFP to take matter in our own hands and all contribute as much as we can.

Silence here about VFPX/Sedna is deafening !
