I just moved. If I wasn't so unorganized during the move, I would have thought much more about switching to dish/directtv for tv, dsl for phone.

I am closely monitoring my torrent performance. I haven't seen any performance problems yet that are attributable to the seeder being firewalled. But as soon as I do, it will be time to investigate what options are available in my area.

>...not to mention what Comcast is doing with torrents. If you're using a torrent-client now they send you disconnect-packets all the time so it doesn't work as well as it could. To me that's like being in the middle of a phone conversation and the phone company disconnecting the call because you talked to long.

>>>We've had a lot of trouble over here with firms advertising unlimited broadband connections. In very small print they then have "subject to reasonable use". What comprises reasonable use is up to them.

>>>I'm with Btinternet and a few years ago they disconnected me for excess use. They gave notice but I was away on holiday. so I got back to no internet and more importantly they disconnected my email. Thats what made me register my own domain and now all my mail will go through that.
