As it turns out I do not need the images because you can access them using PictRes clause as follows:

Define Bar _MED_CUT of _MEDIT Prompt "Cut" PictRes _MED_CUT

Perhaps this will be useful for someone else.

Since I do not see them I guess I am right in assuming that are contained in the VFP executable files.
